 Hats

Samorost helped me think and write because it had lots of interesting scenes and environments. These scenes and environments helped me with my descriptive writing because it had so many things similes. It also helped me with my reviews as it was fun and easy to think of good sentences. The 6 thinking hats helped me write too! Here are what the hats stand for.

  1. The yellow hat stands for good and positive points.
  2. The black hat stands for bad and negative points.
  3. The green hat stands for for creative and new ideas.
  4. The red hat stands for feelings and emotions.
  5. The blue hat stands for thinking about what you already know.
  6. The white hat stands for information and facts.

Here is a disgram about the hats. De Bono Hats diagram Put on your thinking hats

Samorost 1 ending      Little Samorost squirrel      Tree Tongue

We’ve been writing about Samorost. I wrote in present tense and 1st person. Here are the sentences I liked.

Swinging with the sound of rattling chains I feel abandoned and I feel that I am being watched, I feel cautious as the huge hand reels me down.

The balloon cable car has halted and pushed me out, I fall bouncing on mushrooms through all danger to safety.

Coming to a halt the metal ball opens a door, I fall out thinking of what my fate is. Suddenly I hit something, it reflects me onto another one of its kind, I hit the ground suddenly. Where should I go next?

I see gnarled tree roots plaited together and at the end of the staircase a box like figure is planted.

In the prehistoric shaped trees the old box was hidden, it is like a maze.

 Samorost Picture     Hotdog Tin Rocket

At first I thought that it was a shooting game. I thought this game would be spooky, because of the music. This is a very fun and logical game. This game had unexpected results when you clicked on something. You had to look very closely so you could see every little piece of the picture. I think the only let down of the game was that it was hard to follow the story. I thought the game was an interesting game. I recommend this game for people 10 years and older.
