Well, the 10th of November finally came and many excited children came to school with luggage! What for??????

Camp of course!

Many kids were sad to leave their parents, although they got to hang out with their friends (and teachers).  :-)

I’ve decided that I will post the activities we did at camp, one by one!

This is just an intro post!

To start I have to say that being with my friends was way different to normal! For a start we had to live with each other for 3 days!

We had so much fun in those 3 days!

The kids in my cabin were: Celia, Sharon, Mikhaila and Natalie! All my friends!

Just to tell you, we did fun things in our cabin at free time! These included:

  1. A competition where we all made as much noise as we could without using our voices.
  2. Partying with all the junk food we brought.
  3. Pillow fights!
  4. Going crazy!

That’s about it, but wait for my other posts that will be about the activities we did at camp!

Stay tuned!

3 Down, 4 To Go!!!

Point Tally, Results, Challenges, Riddles, Games, Fun Things 8 Comments »

The riddle was:

A Panda Bear walked into a restaurant. He sat down at a table and ordered some food. When he was finished eating, he took out a gun and shot his waiter. He then left the restaurant. After the police caught up with him, they asked him why he had killed the waiter. He replied, “Look me up in the dictionary.” What did the dictionary say?

The answer was:

The dictionary definition of panda was: Eats shoots and leaves.

This was supposed to mean the panda’s diet, but in this case it is what the panda literally did.

The point tally is still the same as before, except Natalie has 3 points and Nadine has 5! Momti is also tagging along on 3! The new point tally is:

Mikhaila: 5

Nadine: 5

Natalie: 3

Momtahina: 3

Kesaia: half

The new riddle is:

Bill bets Craig $100 that he can predict the score of the hockey game before it starts. Craig agrees, but loses the bet. Why did Craig lose the bet?

Athletics Adventure

Results, Sports Carnivals, School Sport, Challenges, District Stuff, Sport, All about me, AllStars, Fun Things 1 Comment »

Many of the AllStars participated in the zone athletics carnival over the past 2 Tuesdays, but not last Thursday. If you won or came 2nd or 3rd you would make it to the next round, regional.

I participated in the 4×100m senior girls relay, 11 years girls long jump, 11 years girls 100m & 11 years girls 200m.

I didn’t make it to regional but I came 3rd in the 11 years girls long jump, 4th in the 11 years girls 100m final and 4th in the 11 years girls 200m final.

Our school did okay, with Kesaiacoming 2nd in the 10 years girls shotput, Ben coming 2nd in the 12-13 years boys discus and 2nd in the 12-13 boys long jump, Hafizcoming 1st in the 12-13 years boys 100 final and 1st in the 12-13 years boys 200m final, Fonzalina coming 2nd in the 9 years girls 100m final & Wing coming 3rd in the 11 years girls 800m finals.

Many other schools participated with Ashbury winning overal. Congratulations Ashbury!

And just recently, last Thursday(a week after the end of the adventure), I found out that Tony from our school made it in the 11 years boys discus. I also found out that I had made it for long jump! I know I said that 3rd made it to regional but I only got a certificate on the day!?!

I hope I go well on Monday!

She’s still out in front!

Point Tally, Results, Challenges, Riddles, Games, Fun Things 11 Comments »

Mikhaila is still out in front with another 3 points! Momtahina got another 2 points as well! Nadine also got it right and she is getting 3 points! I know I said that 1st person correct gets 3 points, but that was because the other could copy. Nadine couldn’t copy because Mikhaila’s answer wasn’t moderated! I’ll also give Kesaia half a point for getting the grammatically correct answer!

This is the tally for the results so far:

Mikhaila: 5

Kesaia: half

Nadine: 3

Momtahina: 3

The riddle was:

Which is correct?

  1. The yolk of an egg is white
  2. The yolk of an egg are white

The answer was simply:

The yolk of an egg isn’t white

Here is the new riddle:

A Panda Bear walked into a restaurant. He sat down at a table and ordered some food. When he was finished eating, he took out a gun and shot his waiter. He then left the restaurant. After the police caught up with him, they asked him why he had killed the waiter. He replied, “Look me up in the dictionary.” What did the dictionary say?

Good luck and no websites!

Fraser, Fraser are the best!

North and south and east and west!

Fraser (my house) chanted these words as they tried their hearts out on the athletics carnival!

I got 4 ribbons for: 1st 100m sprint heat, 2nd 100m final, 1st long jump & 1st 200m heat. The Fraser captainball team also got 1st+The 200m had no finals so they did the places by time, I came 1st! Fraser’s 4×100m senior girls relay (which I participated in, as 3rd runner)  came 1st! I also made it in discus!

The houses are named after famous athletes, the houses are as follows:

Colour: Yellow        Name: Freeman           Named after: Cathy Freeman(runner)

Colour: Green         Name: Fraser               Named after: Dawn Fraser(swimmer)

Colour: Red             Name: Newcombe       Named after: John Newcombe(tennis player)

Colour: Blue            Name: Bradman           Named after: Don Bradman(cricketer)

I’m in Fraser!

Many of the other AllStars also participated in the athletics carnival!

Hope to see lots of the AllStars in the zone carnival, 1st, 2nd & 3rd make it.
