Super Softball Stars Strike Again!

Bam, and the ball is gone!

The super softballers from Belmore South Public School played their hearts out in an amazing softball game! From the 08 AllStars the participants were Kesaia & I.

It was round 3 of the State Knockout Competition and we went great!

The game was at Epping West and we had a great adventure trying to get there!

Unfortunately we lost 34-nil. They were professionals and their pitcher was as fast as lightning. Their batters were great and so were their fielders.

I’d like to thank my mum for driving us there and also Ms Knoke who organised & drove us there!

It was an exciting day and I hopfully won my comps!

PRC!?!

Challenges, school events, Fun Things No Comments »

PRC, PRC, what could PRC stand for?

These are probably the words going through your head as you read.

Well PRC stands for “Premier’s Reading Challenge”. Children read 15 books that are chosen for the challenge, and 5 of their own choice. It goes from approximately February to September and it is really great and enjoyable.

I’ve finished mine! Each year you finish one you get a certificate. Your 4th certificate is gold! This year is my 4th year which means I will be gettting a gold certificate!

The stage 1 children have the class teacher read 20 books aloud to them. Then all the way till the end of high school you read them alone.

Many children participate and it is a really enjoyable event to participate in.

I’ll update you on our progress in a month.

Booktastic Book Fair

Book Fairs, school events, Fun Things 1 Comment »

What to choose, what to choose?

These words went round many peoples’ heads as they chose a book from our booktastic Book Fair. Many exciting books were on show such as: 101 Cool Magic Tricks, Too Ghoul For School, the Rainbow Magic Series Of Sport Fairies, High School Musical Crunch Time, the Aussie Bites series, the Charlie Small series, the Where’s Wally series and many others.

Stationary was also available. This stationary included: glue sticks, smelly highlighters, diaries, mechanical pencils, pens, rulers, fluffy pens.

I bought: High School Musical Crunch Time, 101 Cool Magic Tricks, 3 Smelly Highlighters and a fluffy pen.

It was a great Book Fair and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. 1 will happen each term so be prepared to read about more booktasic Book Fairs!
