My Fantasy Creature
Freaky things, Sad Situations, Writing, Fun Things 12 Comments »I walk abandoned in an unknown desert, with no water. I feel as if I’m in the middle of nowhere with nothing. Wait. I see a cactus, the only one for miles on end. I go up to it as if it were a human. I try to talk to it. It is my height if I sit down. Am I seeing things? I think the cactus just grew bone legs, or were they there? “Maybe a rock could make a head”, I say as I place a rock on top. I think I can make him human and he can journey with me. I talk with him; he looks real with a scorpion mouth, cactus nose and blue watery eyes. AAAAHHHH!!!!! 2 rattlesnakes crawl on me. I throw them away and they land unconscious on the cactus’s shoulders as arms.
His bone legs have feet that look like reflections of the sun or they might be there. Right now I am getting scared because the sun looks like hair as it is behind his head. I decide to name him Professor Cactus.
Suddenly he wakes up. I am freaked out. “Don’t be scared I am friendly” he says. I think this over I’m not sure if I can trust him yet. He explains that he was once a professor looking for unknown places. When he came across this desert he wanted to explore it so he walked for an hour. Then he realised that he was lost. Suddenly a genie came and cast a spell on him to become a cactus. He asked him “Why did you cast a spell on me?”. “Because you have been trespassing on my land without permission”, he answered. So there he was a lonely cactus with nothing. “Until you came” he says with great relief.
Now we are walking through the glowing heat of the sunset. We have no idea of where we are of if we’ll survive. As we walk I think of my fait, even more of the Professor. He has to change back to human form; somehow I will accomplish this impossible task.
“I see a vast plain of nothing. With a pond of water”, I say excitedly.
To be continued……..
